A Short Visit to Germany

I was lucky to visit my friend in Germany and stay on the US Airforce base Spangdahlem.

I loved the woods in Germany. When I got off the airplane, everything was snowcovered. The woods looked so fresh and cozy covered in snow. But as the weather warmed up and the snow melted, they became dark and intimidating, especially with the fog. I found the forest to be beautiful with all the life within them. The melted snow made rushing streams and I could see the different browns and greens. I wanted to hike but only managed one walk through the woods. The trees are tall and skinny and the woods stretch on and on over endless hills and valleys. Four days in Germany was not enough to see the hidden wonders of this country. I want to go back in summer or autumn and hike to the waterfalls that I've heard about.

The flight from London to Germany only took one hour. It took me longer to get to the airport and go through security than the flight did! Since it's so easy to travel from one country to another while in Europe, I look forward to all the other places I will visit before heading home... =)
